About the Standards
If you, a member of your family, or someone you know is using a registered care service now, or may need to use one in the future, the National Care Standards contain lots of information on what a service must do or provide to make sure that you experience a good quality service.
Where to start
When you know what type of service you are getting, or need to get, you can search for relevant services, view their inspection reports and visit the facilities.
Level of care you can expect
You can expect the same quality of services wherever you live in Scotland.
Care Service Inspection Reports
The Care Commission inspects every registered service regularly taking into account the relevant National Care Standards. Some services such as care homes are inspected at least twice a year, others are inspected once and some are inspected once every two years.
Raising a concern
Your concerns are important and can help raise the quality of care services.
