Interactive flu campaign warns people of flu risk

Commuters and shoppers in cities across Scotland have been targeted with a new interactive campaign aimed at warning vulnerable people about the serious complications of flu and encouraging them to have a flu vaccination.

The hard-hitting campaign involves specially designed 'sound' posters and reverse street 'graffiti', which prompt people to consider whether they are at risk of developing serious illness as a result of catching flu. This is the first time the Scottish Government has employed 'sound' posters in its public information campaigns.

The interactive campaign has been built around pharmacy locations in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Dundee and Stirling in a bid to reach people with long-term medical conditions who are likely to visit their pharmacist regularly.

To drive home the message, the 'patient in hospital' image from the campaign was brought to life on the streets of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen and flu information leaflets were distributed to passers by.

Please select from the menu below to view images from each city.

Aberdeen

Shoppers in Aberdeen were reminded of the risks associated with flu when the 'patient in hospital' appeared on St Nicholas Street, a busy shopping area in the city.
