Following numerous night-time calls to the Crimestoppers Unit regarding a person storing and dealing large amounts of cannabis, local officers observed and then raided a house. The investigation, based purely on Crimestoppers intelligence, netted over £300,000 in drugs and monies from the proceeds of the sale of drugs.
The Scottish Drugs Enforcement Agency are at the forefront of tackling drug crime in Scotland. They help co-ordinate police force activity and act on the intelligence generated from public calls.
