Flu Vaccine

Are you at risk from flu?

"Ben won't be in today, he's got a touch of the flu."

It's that time of year again when you should be thinking about making an appointment to see your GP for your annual flu jab. Doctors recommend the vaccine for 2 main groups of people.

  • People aged 65 or over
  • Adults and children who suffer from a long term medical condition

You are eligible for a free flu jab if you suffer from a chronic medical condition such as:

  • Serious heart or respiratory disease
  • Diabetes
  • Severe Kidney or liver disease
  • If you have lowered immunity due to disease or treatment

If you're not sure if you or someone you care for is eligible for the vaccine, download the leaflets below for more information or contact the NHS Helpline on 0800 22 44 88 for advice.
