In-Court Advice Service

Courts can be daunting places for those with little experience of the legal system. Now, litigants and other court users in Airdrie, Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Hamilton can access free, independent CAB advice inside their local sheriff courts.

The CAB in-court advisers provide free, independent advice on issues such as small claims, heritable matters, rent arrears and evictions, consumer complaints, debt and benefits. They can also offer emergency help and guidance to those who don’t have someone to represent them.
